Question: We recently disabled a user in JGID. Now we need to use the services of this person again, so we re-enabled his account, but when trying to assign him to a job from the job management panel, his user name is not in the list of available workers. What is the reason for this?
Answer: In JGID the Username of the person used for log-in the JGID account is separate from the Calendar name used for assigning the person to the different appointments. Once a user is de-activated the connection between the Username and the Calendar name is terminated and when you subsequently re-enable the same user that connection is not automatically rebuilt. Therefore, you need to re-establish the connection between the username and the calendar name by accessing the following location:
Select the calendar name you would like to amend from the drop-down menu. When you do so, you will notice that in the Owner section the name displayed is “Nobody” This essentially means that there is no user associated with this Calendar name and to fix the issue you will have to select the corresponding calendar name, so that now the Calendar name and the Owner i.e. the User name match as shown in the image below:
Note: Bear in mind that from the same location you can color-code the calendar name and assign it a particular color to distinguish it from the rest of the calendar names.
